Network Firewall Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network Firewall Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves the design, engineering, and implementation of firewall service requests to deliver infrastructure services. The ideal candidate will translate business requirements into technical solutions, interface with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, and adhere to established standards and product sets.

Responsibilities:

• Design, engineer, and implement firewall service requests aligned to the delivery of infrastructure services
• Understand network-based technologies and protocols; demonstrate competency in translating business requirements into business solutions
• Interface directly with internal stakeholders, external suppliers/providers, architecture, product engineering, product management, and business and senior management
• Adhere to and use standards, product sets, templates, systems, and artifacts

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience working in Network Services
• Experience with Network Technologies, specifically Firewall (Fortinet and Checkpoint) including adding, modifying, and deleting Firewall rules, NAT rules, and Object groups
• Industry Certifications in Fortinet NSE (1-8), Checkpoint (CCTA, CCTE, CCSA, CCSE), or Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE), or equivalent experience
• Skills in scripting such as Python, Ansible, or PowerShell
• Experience with automation tools like Expect, Rancid, or REST/SOAP APIs
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience in Networking-related disciplines within a design, implementation, or operations role
• Experience working within Financial services (Insurance, Banking, Investment banking)
• Experience with other network technologies (Splunk, ECSL, WAN, MAN, LAN, Optical, Routing, Switching, Proxy/Threat Prevention, DDI, Load Balancing, and AAA)
• Strong technical acumen and analytical skills
• Firm understanding of IT Service Management processes (i.e., ITIL)

Pay range: $67.46 - $75.46 per hour
