Position Overview

The Senior UAT & Business Analyst reports to the Sr. Manager of Technical Solutions. Under broad supervision, this role leads User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test strategy development, business analysis activities, and quality assurance coordination across systems and related enterprise applications.

This position serves as a senior-level resource responsible for ensuring systems, data, integrations, reporting solutions, and business processes meet functional requirements, policy standards, and operational expectations. This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Business System Owners (BSOs), developers, vendors, and testing teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in manual and automated testing, test strategy development, regression suite optimization, defect management, business process analysis, and requirements management.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Participate in Joint Application Requirements (JAR) and Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions for assigned Change Requests (CRs) and Maintenance & Operations (M&O) initiatives. Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, BSOs, vendors, and technical teams to document, refine, and validate functional requirements.

Dual BA/QA Role: Serve as an individual contributor performing both Business Analyst and UAT responsibilities based on operational needs. Translate business requirements into use cases and testable scenarios.

Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive UAT strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and testing approaches aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and project timelines. Review system designs, interfaces, and workflows to ensure complete, risk-based coverage.

Test Execution & Coordination: Create, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scripts for functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, data validation, and UAT activities. Lead and coordinate overall UAT execution, issue tracking, test evidence documentation, and release readiness support.

Automation Leadership: Lead test automation initiatives by developing automation strategies, identifying automation opportunities, recommending appropriate frameworks/tools, and implementing automated regression solutions to reduce manual testing effort.

Defect Lifecycle Management: Manage defect identification, logging, triage, prioritization, escalation, retesting, resolution validation, and status reporting using enterprise testing tools.

Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with vendors responsible for Unit Testing and System Integration Testing (SIT) to align testing strategies, improve quality coverage, and minimize redundant testing.

Metrics & Reporting: Track, analyze, and communicate testing metrics, execution progress, defect trends, test coverage, and quality risks to leadership and project teams.

Continuous Improvement: Refine and enhance existing regression test suites. Support post-implementation validation, production issue analysis, QA/UAT best practices, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

QA/UAT & BA Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and/or Business Analysis roles supporting enterprise systems.

Test Automation Experience: Minimum of 3 years in test automation, including strategy development and transitioning manual testing processes to automated solutions.

Test Execution Experience: Minimum of 3 years developing test strategies, test cases, and test scripts, as well as executing functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and UAT testing.

Automation Tools: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestComplete, Power Automate, UFT, or similar technologies.

Test Management Tools: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with QA and test management platforms such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or similar tools.

Data & Reporting Validation: Experience performing data quality validation, data reconciliation, and testing across enterprise applications, interfaces, and reporting solutions (including Microsoft reporting tools like Power BI and/or Microsoft Fabric).

Work Style: Proven ability to work independently as a senior-level individual contributor while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with data systems, automated business processes, data warehousing, ETL processes, or data pipelines.

Knowledge of integrated eligibility systems, system development, and configuration.

          Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Technical Competencies

Deep understanding of testing methodologies and types (e.g., black box, regression, negative testing).

Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Power Automate, JUnit, Azure Test Plans).

Experience with .NET applications, Angular front-ends, and relational databases.

Ability to develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical test artifacts from business requirements.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and data-evaluation capabilities.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and customer service skills.
