Business Analyst / QA (Remote)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Analyst/QA. This is a 100% remote position supporting a collaborative, cross-functional team.

Summary

In this role, you will work closely with business users, development teams, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment. While the role is classified as a Business Analyst, candidates with a strong QA background and similar skills are encouraged to apply. The position has a strong emphasis on requirements, user stories, testing documentation, defect tracking, and validating application data.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with business users to gather, clarify, and document requirements
• Create and maintain user stories and manage the product backlog in JIRA
• Document test cases and testing requirements in QTest
• Track, document, and coordinate the resolution of defects
• Help validate frontend versus backend data and identify discrepancies
• Collaborate with development, QA, business, and other technical teams
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups and two-week sprints
• Communicate requirements, testing results, issues, and status clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
• Stay organized while managing multiple projects, teams, and priorities

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong experience with JIRA, including user stories, backlog management, and defect tracking
• Experience with QTest and documenting test cases
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Strong documentation and analytical problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly when working directly with business users
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple teams
• Basic SQL skills, including the ability to write simple queries/select statements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with an automated testing tool such as Playwright or a similar technology
• Prior QA/testing experience, particularly in a role involving requirements, test case development, and defect management
• Business-facing Business Analyst experience
• Experience validating data between frontend and backend systems

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
