Job Description Retail Sales Support Specialist – Produce & Deli Are you passionate about fresh food and providing outstanding customer service? Do you have experience in produce, deli, grocery, or foodservice and enjoy helping customers find the right products? We're looking for a Retail Sales Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be the primary point of contact for retail customers, supporting deli sales each morning and retail customer orders each afternoon. You'll use your knowledge of fresh products, ordering processes, and customer service to help customers receive the right products at the right time. What You'll Do Build strong relationships with retail customers by providing responsive, friendly service Contact assigned customers each day to collect and enter produce and deli orders Process new orders, order changes, cancellations, and credits accurately Answer customer questions about products, pricing, availability, and promotions Recommend seasonal products and communicate inventory updates Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Operations to ensure accurate order fulfillment Resolve customer concerns quickly while maintaining a high level of service Perform warehouse walks to monitor inventory, product quality, and availability Stay informed on seasonal produce, deli offerings, and market trends Maintain accurate customer records and order information using company systems Support additional sales and operational projects as needed What Makes You Successful Experience working in a produce department, deli, grocery, foodservice, or wholesale produce environment Knowledge of fresh produce, deli products, food quality, or inventory management Passion for delivering exceptional customer service Comfortable communicating with customers by phone and email throughout the day Strong attention to detail with order entry and pricing accuracy Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments Comfortable learning new systems and technology Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams) Qualifications Preferred Experience We're especially interested in candidates with experience as: Produce Clerk Produce Manager Deli Clerk Deli Manager Grocery Department Lead Grocery Buyer Foodservice Customer Service Representative Produce Buyer Wholesale Produce Sales Support Restaurant Supply Customer Service Representative Fresh Foods Associate Experience with inventory management, order entry, ERP systems, or wholesale distribution is a plus.
