QA Automation Tester Selenium & Cypress
Houston,TX / Brooklyn,NY- Onsite

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Tester with strong hands-on experience in Selenium and Cypress to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, automation frameworks, API testing, and CI/CD practices.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Cypress.
  • Create and execute UI, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Develop and maintain reusable automation frameworks and test utilities.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases.
  • Execute automated and manual testing as required.
  • Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
  • Integrate automation test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to resolve defects.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed testing reports and metrics.
  • Continuously improve test automation coverage, framework performance, and testing processes.
Required Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
  • Strong experience with Cypress for web application automation.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Good understanding of Page Object Model (POM) and automation framework design.
  • Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database validation.
  • Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
  • Experience integrating automation frameworks with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.
  • Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with BlazeMeter, JMeter, or other performance testing tools is a plus.
