Job Description

Our direct client is looking for a Meeting Facilitator for a Hybrid (Onsite as needed) Long Term Contract in Washington, DC. 
Note:
- Hybrid role -- candidates local to DMV area only
- This position will be for 30 hours/week
J0B DESCRIPTION:
- The highly experienced Facilitator is responsible for planning, conducting, and managing meetings to ensure that they are productive and focused. The role involves setting agendas, guiding discussions, and ensuring that all participants are engaged and that objectives are met. 
- This role requires a deep understanding of business principles, coupled with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
Preparation:
- Coordinate with meeting organizers to understand objectives and prepare an agenda.
- Ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available and functional.
- Distribute agendas and pre-meeting materials to participants in advance.
Meeting Facilitation:
- Serve as the master of ceremonies
- Guide discussions to keep the meeting on track and ensure that all agenda items are covered.
- Encourage participation from all attendees and manage group dynamics.
- Address conflicts and ensure that all viewpoints are heard and considered.
Follow-Up:
- Summarize key discussion points, decisions, and action items.
- Distribute meeting minutes or summaries to participants promptly.
- Track progress on action items and follow up as needed.
Evaluation:
- Gather feedback from participants to assess the effectiveness of the meeting.
- Continuously improve facilitation techniques based on feedback and experience.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working with diverse audiences
- Strong conflict resolution skills
SKILL MATRIX:
- Experience as a meeting facilitator in the public sector - Required 
- Experience providing consulting services to governmental entities or field of specialization - Required
- Experience designing public “town-hall” type meetings and other convenings on public policy issues - Required
- Compelling and competent public speaker - Required
- Experience in state or local government, preferably within the District of Columbia government - Required
- Bachelor’s degree (Masters or higher preferred) - Required
