SVP, Principal Business Analyst

BNY seeks an SVP, Principal Business Analyst to lead third-party application engineering initiatives within its global finance and insurance business. You will own the analysis and optimization of vendor platforms supporting asset servicing and investment management, translating complex business needs into scalable technology solutions. Partner with engineering, product, risk, and operations to define requirements, roadmaps, and controls. Drive process reengineering, data and integration standards, and regulatory compliance while mentoring analysts. Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end business analysis for third-party application engineering initiatives supporting asset servicing and investment management.
• Translate complex business, client, and regulatory needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
• Partner with engineering, product, risk, compliance, and operations to define roadmaps and solution designs.
• Drive process reengineering and workflow optimization across front-to-back financial operations.
• Define data models, integration requirements, and API/interface specifications for vendor platforms.
• Assess and manage third-party application risks, controls, and compliance with financial regulations.
• Lead impact assessments, UAT planning, and validation of new features and platform changes.
• Provide thought leadership on technology and process best practices within BNY's global platform ecosystem.
• Mentor and guide junior business analysts and contribute to standards and methodologies.
• Engage stakeholders and senior leadership through clear documentation, presentations, and status reporting.
