Senior Freight Brokerage Account Manager

Forward Air is seeking a Senior Brokerage Account Manager to lead key customer relationships within our expedited transportation and warehousing network. In this role, you will manage complex brokerage accounts, overseeing pricing, capacity, and service performance across LTL, truckload, and intermodal shipments. You will analyze account profitability, negotiate with carriers, and resolve service issues while partnering closely with operations and sales. Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for key brokerage accounts in transportation and warehousing
• Manage end-to-end brokerage loads, pricing, and capacity planning
• Analyze account performance, margins, and service KPIs; recommend improvements
• Collaborate with operations, sales, and carrier teams to ensure on-time performance
• Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to optimize cost and service
• Resolve service issues, claims, and escalations with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Develop account growth strategies and upsell Forward Air services
• Maintain accurate data in TMS/CRM and prepare regular business reviews
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards
• Mentor junior account staff and support continuous process improvement
