Linux Systems Engineer with Security Clearance

Position: Linux Systems Engineer (Salary Range: $140,000 - $210,000) Location: Chantilly, VA HOW A LINUX SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems
• Coordinates system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing
• Contributes to completion of major engineering programs and projects
• Develop solutions to a variety of highly complex engineering problems
• Oversee highly complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
• Performs continual maintenance and provides highly complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems
• Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline
• Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
• Required Technical Skills: Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux; experience with NFS, AD/LDAP integration, Web Servers, certificates, LVM, VMware, Linux security hardening, Cloud and/or Hybrid-Cloud deployments, configuring storage

Preferred Skills: Experience with Ansible, kickstart deployments, Big Data solutions, containerization, Terraform, Splunk, AWS/Azure
