IAM Solutions Architect Contract

Solution Architect - Identity & Access Management (IAM) Hybrid Sheffield - 3 days per week onsite £(Apply online only) per day Inside IR35 Initial contract until end of the year with view to extend long-term We're looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join a major financial services transformation programme focused on modernising enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) capabilities.

This is an opportunity to play a key technical leadership role in designing the next generation of identity services, helping shape secure, scalable and cloud-native solutions within a large, complex enterprise environment.

Working closely with architects, engineering teams, security specialists and business stakeholders, you'll define solution architecture, establish technical standards and guide delivery across a large-scale IAM transformation programme.

What You'll Be Doing Define end-to-end solution architecture across business, application, data and infrastructure domains.<br />Produce High Level Designs (HLDs), Low Level Designs (LLDs) and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).<br />Translate business, security and regulatory requirements into secure technical solutions.<br />Design modern IAM capabilities covering:<br />Authentication and Authorisation<br />Human, Agent and Workload Identity<br />Identity Federation<br />API Security<br />Policy-as-Code<br />Secrets Management and PKI<br />Design cloud-native architectures using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes.<br />Define integration patterns between identity platforms, applications and infrastructure.<br />Develop resilient, highly available and scalable architectures.<br />Support Architecture Review Boards and technical governance.<br />Review supplier designs and provide technical assurance across multiple workstreams.<br />Work closely with Product Owners and engineering teams throughout delivery.<br />Mentor engineers and promote architectural best practice.<br />Evaluate new technologies and contribute to the long-term architecture roadmap.

Essential Skills &amp; Experience Strong background in Enterprise Solution Architecture<br />Extensive experience delivering Identity &amp; Access Management (IAM) solutions<br />Authentication, Authorisation and Identity Federation (OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, SCIM)<br />Zero Trust Architecture<br />Agent Identity and Workload Identity<br />Cloud Architecture, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP)<br />Kubernetes and Service Mesh<br />API Architecture and API Security<br />Event-Driven Architecture<br />Policy-as-Code (OPA, Cedar or similar)<br />PKI, Certificates and Secrets Management<br />DevSecOps and CI/CD<br />High Availability, Disaster Recovery and Resilience Design<br />Security Architecture<br />Architecture Governance and Design Reviews<br />Strong stakeholder management and technical leadership experience If you're an experienced Solution Architect with a strong IAM background and enjoy designing secure, enterprise-scale cloud solutions, we'd love to speak with you.
