Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Data Center networking, routing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, and network troubleshooting, along with experience working in AWS environments.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Data Center (DC) Networking.
- Hands-on experience with Routing and Switching.
- Strong knowledge of VLANs, subnetting, and IP networking.
- Experience with DNS and DHCP services.
- Strong experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with VPN technologies.
- Experience implementing and troubleshooting network segmentation.
- Strong network troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience with AWS networking and cloud infrastructure.
- Understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and routing.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network connectivity and performance issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.
- Support Data Center network environments, including routing, VLANs, and connectivity.
- Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and DHCP.
- Implement and maintain secure network segmentation.
- Troubleshoot network outages, connectivity issues, latency, and performance problems.
- Support network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and AWS environments.
- Monitor network performance and identify potential infrastructure issues.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams.
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration standards.
- Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects.
- Provide production support and resolve network incidents within required SLAs.
