Job Description

 
We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support 3–4 attorneys. You will handle core legal secretarial duties, case management, and court filings to keep day-to-day legal operations running smoothly.
 
Position: Executive Legal Assistant / Paralegal
 
Location: Tallahassee, FL
 
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
 
Interview Process: Webcam or In-Person
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Document Prep: Format, draft, and finalize legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery requests.
  • Court Filings: File legal documents with appropriate courts and tribunals, and arrange service of process.
  • Scheduling: Coordinate hearings, trials, depositions, and retain court reporters.
  • Administrative Support: Manage executive attorney calendars, arrange travel, answer phone inquiries, and maintain case files.
Highlighted Skills & Qualifications
 
  • Legal Support (Required): 3+ years as a Paralegal or Legal Secretary supporting multiple attorneys.
  • Court Filings (Required): 3+ years drafting, finalizing, and filing pleadings, motions, and subpoenas.
  • Docketing & Scheduling (Required): 3+ years managing discovery requests, hearings, and depositions.
  • Calendar Management (Required): 2+ years managing executive calendars and 1+ year coordinating travel.
  • Software (Required): High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Education: High School Diploma required (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Bonus (Highly Desired): Direct experience with the Florida Court System or working with state attorneys.
