Job Title: ServiceNow Developer
Duration: 6 Months
Remote: Preferred CST or PST Timezone
Top 5 Technologies Required: 

1. 4-6 years of experience as ServiceNow developer working in two or more products: ITSM, ITBM, ITOM, GRC, HRSD, or Security Operations
2. Strong understanding of user-centered design and building scalable, high-performing web and mobile interfaces on the ServiceNow platform. 
3. Solid understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud technology platforms
4. Experience with ServiceNow development including JavaScript, AngularJS, AJAX, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. Experience within orchestration connecting supply chains. 
5. Experience with workflow automation and integration development using REST, SOAP, MID severs, etc.

Top 5 Day to day responsibilities: 

1. Deliver outstanding self-service and automation experiences for our global workforce
2. Create ServiceNow request catalogs, record producers, workflow, and cross-platform API integrations
3. Create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, REST APIs and ACLs including advanced scripting logic.
4. Create and configure Notifications, UI pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc.
5. Create and maintain data integrations between ServiceNow and other systems

ServiceNow Developer Role Overview

• The developer will join a small, agile ServiceNow team using Scrum ceremonies and the ServiceNow Agile module to track work.
• Primary responsibilities include building and enhancing workflows, working across ITSM modules (incident, problem, change), and developing and troubleshooting integrations, including ServiceNow-to-ServiceNow (e-bonding) connections.
• The role is senior-level, with expectations to independently solution most stories, design integrations from scratch, and only involve the architect for oversight rather than routine guidance.
• Nice-to-have experience includes SPM, CMDB, and broader ITOM exposure, though these are not mandatory.
• Developers may occasionally meet directly with stakeholders for simpler stories, although the typical model is BA-led requirement gathering.
• Contract is expected to be six months, hybrid (three days onsite), based in either Toronto or Winnipeg, with very infrequent on-call support handled mostly by a third party.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, configure, test and deployment of new/enhancements of the application including but not limited to, modules, ServiceNow Portal and service catalog item workflows, catalog requests, scripts, reporting, data imports, custom scripting, third-party software integrations, user interface and other ServiceNow platform components.
• Combine business knowledge and analytic insight with programming skills to develop applications while managing business requirements and ensuring all technical deliverables.
• Respond to and manage all ServiceNow issues including troubleshooting ServiceNow upgrades, patching, and release management.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation related to the application administration and configuration. Document and support technical architectures that are clearly understood by other architects, developers, and testers
• Responsibilities include data updates, table maintenance, configuring Service Level Agreements, developing workflows, business rules, UI pages, UI actions, UI policies, catalog items etc. and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, standards, working methods, and tools while ensuring adherence to coding and quality standards.
• Drive out the development and execution of the ServiceNow project activities, working with the project team to define, sequence and estimate duration of project activities and duration of schedule to meet project objectives
• Responsible for technical development, testing and delivery of business solutions

Qualifications

• Experience with Flow Designer (5 years) building large complex workflows that ebond tickets to vendors, order guides etc.
• Experience (5 years) in Scripting, System Definition, Business Rules, Menus, UI/Forms, UI
• Actions, Content Management, Imports, Transform Maps, Web Services (SOAP, REST, including cross-browser compatibility), and Notifications (e.g. XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, TCP/IP, etc.)
• Experience (5 years) in utilizing of AngularJS, JavaScript, GlideScript, JSON, Jelly, SOAP, database management concepts
• ServiceNow Fundamentals and Administrator Certification preferred 
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer desired
• Has a bachelor's degree in computer information systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills and a strong personal commitment to quality service
• Ability to organize work in a fast paced environment and work across multiple projects
• Experience (3-5 years) ITIL methodologies, IT architecture, JavaScript, web software design principals, database architecture, and relational databases
