Assessment Quality Analyst (Part Time) Fixed Term Until July 2027

• Salary: Circa £24,800 per annum (full time equivalent - £31,000.00 per annum)

• Location: IB (International Baccalaureate®) Global Centre, Cardiff

• Hybrid working opportunity (working from the office at least once per week)

About the Job

The Assessment Quality Analyst will work closely with colleagues within the Assessment Quality team and the Assessment Operations team to monitor, identify and resolve moderation and assessment issues to ensure that the grades awarded to candidates are reliable and fair.

The jobholder will make decisions about the quality assurance of internal assessments (IA) and provide instructions and guidance to colleagues in subject operations with responsibility for IA components.

The jobholder will work closely with subject managers and subject operations colleagues to investigate and respond to school criticisms of the assessment process and moderation outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret assessment data to make decisions that ensure fair outcomes for candidates

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent approach

• Provide information and guidance about assessment to colleagues and schools

• Analyse assessment data

• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes

About You

• A degree in Mathematics or subject with mathematical content, or proven experience of analysing data.

• Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance of own work

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

• Demonstrable ability to communicate well across all levels of an organization, with the ability to build and foster working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Evidence of communicating effectively with stakeholders on complex, technical and sensitive matters.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Delivery of quality outcomes within defined deadlines.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Ability to work in French or Spanish is desirable but not essential.

• Knowledge of the IB, IB Programmes or being an IB Alumnus is desirable but not essential
