Plant Engineer
Location: Bishop Auckland
Salary: £62,500 + bonus
Working Hours: Panama Shifts (12hrs days and nights) - Every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday off!!

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturing business to recruit a Plant Engineer for their site in Bishop Auckland.

Responsible for plant availability, reliability and effectiveness of the plant.

This is a key role for someone who enjoys recognising future improvements and the day to day reliability aspects of equipment

Duties of the Plant Engineer will include:

• Ensure that the plant is running safely and effectively
• Ensure sufficient plans are in place to ensure future reliability of plant
• Investigate and reduce recurring plant issues to maximise uptime
• Complete regular reviews of preventative maintenance schedules
• Ensure safe working through method statements and risk assessments (RAMS)
• Implement plant and process improvements
• Control and understand engineering spend
• Ensure sufficient spares to minimise downtime
• Engagement & control of contractors
• Understand and comply with environmental and safety legislation
• Liaise closely with Maintenance and Operations to maximise opportunities during plant downtime
• Identify cost savings through plant improvement and energy savings

We are keen to speak with Plant Engineers, Maintenance Supervisors or Maintenance Team Leaders who have the following:

• HNC or above in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering
• Background ideally within Pharmaceutical/Chemical/Medical Devices or Food & Beverage
• Demonstrate fault finding and analytical ability
• Able to coach maintenance engineers on technical issues
• Ability to identify and plan work to avoid unplanned production outages
