Position Summary

The Product Manager owns the vision, roadmap and business value of a product. The role leads a product team of specialists, Product Owners and implementation partners to deliver outcomes, and acts as the primary technology counterpart for the business leaders the product serves.

In this role, the product is SAP Treasury. Working with the Corporate Treasurer and Treasury team, and in partnership with the Finance Product Managers for Record to Report, Tax and Capex, the Product Manager owns the Treasury technology strategy and ensures that solutions are adopted, well controlled and deliver measurable value across the United States, Mexico, Italy and New Zealand. SAP Treasury is the core focus; broader SAP Finance experience, or clear potential to develop it, supports expanded responsibilities across adjacent Finance areas over time.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Business Value

• Define and maintain the Treasury technology vision, strategy and roadmap, aligned with enterprise objectives and Treasury priorities.
• Build business cases and funding models for new initiatives, and measure product value through adoption, operational, financial and risk-reduction metrics.
• Carry each proposal to a next step with an owner and a date, and state clearly when an initiative will not proceed.
• Identify opportunities to improve Treasury operations through process optimization, automation and analytics.

Business Partnership & Influence

• Serve as the primary technology counterpart to the Corporate Treasurer, translating Treasury strategy and challenges into practical SAP-based solutions.
• Engage early in Treasury planning and requirements so that solutions are shaped before they are built, and bring options when constraints arise.
• Build trusted relationships with Treasury leadership and stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Audit and IT, and incorporate diverse perspectives into product decisions.
• Present recommendations and investment proposals with data, aligning leadership, technical teams and stakeholders to a shared roadmap.

Communication

• Communicate priorities, roadmap changes, decisions and risks on a predictable cadence, tailoring the message to each audience.
• Communicate business-critical incidents promptly in business language, with status updates, mitigation plans and coordinated resolution.

Product Delivery & Orchestration

• Own the end-to-end Treasury product lifecycle, from roadmap planning through delivery, support and continuous improvement.
• Lead delivery through the product team, giving specialists and Product Owners clear context, priorities and decision rights, and translating goals into epics, features and outcomes.
• Work with other Product Managers and Solution Architects to manage cross-functional dependencies across the Finance product line.
• Set measurable product outcomes and key performance indicators, and review results with the team and stakeholders.
• Make timely decisions on scope, schedule and quality trade-offs, and raise risks early with clear ownership of follow-up actions.

Architecture & Next Capability

• Partner with Enterprise Architecture to set the future-state Treasury architecture, integrations and platform direction within enterprise standards.
• Challenge solution designs, estimates and trade-offs with enough technical depth to make sound product decisions, without acting as the hands-on configurator.
• Evaluate SAP releases, vendor capabilities and emerging technologies, and prepare the team for them with learning plans and practical demonstrations.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, coach and develop the Treasury product team, setting clear goals and written success definitions for every team member, employee or contractor.
• Hold implementation partners and contractors to clear quality, value and delivery standards.
• Reduce single-person dependencies through knowledge sharing, documentation and succession planning.
• Partner with HR on training, upskilling and career development, and hire deliberately for fit as well as skill.
• Address difficult issues early and factually, and seek and act on feedback about own leadership.
• Build an inclusive team environment that bridges cultures and locations across the United States, Mexico, Italy and New Zealand.

Role-Specific Requirements: SAP Treasury

Experience

• 10+ years in a corporate IT environment delivering solutions aligned with business strategy.
• 7+ years of technology experience in Finance and FSCM areas delivering SAP solutions.
• 5+ years with SAP S/4HANA Treasury, including Cash and Liquidity Management, TRM (FX, loans, hedging, interest) and Bank Communication Management.

Required Technical Skills

• Deep knowledge of Treasury business processes, controls and regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Treasury architecture, capabilities and integration with SAP Finance.
• Architectural literacy sufficient to challenge solution designs, estimates and trade-offs.
• Product roadmap ownership, business case development and value measurement.
• Agile product delivery, backlog prioritization and implementation partner management.

Preferred Technical Skills

• SAP experience beyond Treasury, in adjacent Finance capabilities such as Record to Report, Tax or Capex.
• SAP S/4HANA Finance or Treasury certification.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA cloud.
• Working knowledge of Jira and Aha!

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proven experience leading global teams and multiple complex initiatives, including large-scale transformation.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into technology investments and product roadmaps.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and work through difficult issues constructively.

Willingness to learn and apply AI responsibly, following company controls, policies and risk management guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated potential to grow into broader Finance product ownership across multiple domains.
• Food and beverage or CPG industry experience.
• Project management or agile certification.

Location and Travel Requirements

• Based in Rochester (NY), Chicago (IL) or Mexico City, or remote.
• Expected to travel approximately 25% of the time to office locations.
