Find your future with us.\nThe Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Backend Software Engineer (Level 2) to lead our Model-Based Engineering (MBE) software team in Berkeley, MO (St. Louis Area).

This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization.\n\nThis position will focus on developing prototypes and new capabilities for web-applications and services. You will design APIs, create data processing and analytics pipelines, optimize SQL queries, and build up production-ready infrastructure.

In this backend developer position, you’ll be helping shape the architecture and infrastructure needed to make our prototypes and minimum-viable products production ready.\n\nSome examples of the work involved may include but are not limited to researching and selecting technologies and programing languages to use, building reliable and performant server applications using those technologies and languages, and ensuring our applications can scale to support hundreds to thousands of users.

Build the Future.\n\nPosition Responsibilities:\n\n Mastering your craft and learning continuously.\n Work with a team to shape the architecture of several server applications.\n Build new and expand on existing infrastructure for multi-application communications, logging, alerts, authentication, configuration, and more.\n Create test-suites for server applications to verify reliability, performance, and behavior.\n Work collaboratively to make decisions that affect the entire system.\n Interface with users and developers to define and implement solutions to meet requirements.\n Work independently and with a team to prototype features and applications.\n Communicate effectively to push the team’s processes to best fit our needs.\n\n \nThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.\n \nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):\n\n Bachelor’s Degree\n Ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S.

Citizenship\n 2+ years of experience in backend software development\n 2+ years of experience with Go, Java, JavaScript, Python, or equivalent server language\n 2+ years of experience with databases using SQL or PL/SQL\n Experience with or working knowledge of concurrent computing and experience developing multi-threaded or multi-process software applications\n Exposure to Agile process\n\n \nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\n\n Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 2+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of directly related work experience OR 10+ years of related, relevant experience\n Active U.S.
