This role Sr Java Developer is responsible for providing technical leadership, direction, and oversight to development teams in the delivery of scalable, high-quality technology solutions. The individual will lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of complex enterprise applications while ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology strategy.

Core Java & Enterprise Development

Extensive experience developing high-volume, enterprise-scale applications.

Strong experience with Java/J2EE and distributed system development.

Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and concepts.

Experience with Java design patterns.

Spring Framework Expertise

Spring Boot

Spring MVC

Spring Security

Spring Integration

Spring Data JPA

API & Integration Development

Experience building and consuming RESTful web services.

Strong understanding of REST/JSON standards.

Good understanding of SOAP web services.

Strong coding standards and code review practices.

Monitoring & Production Support

Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as:

Splunk

Dynatrace

Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, REST APIs, Git, Maven, JUnit, High-Volume Applications, Distributed Systems, Performance Tuning, Design Patterns.

Experience using GitHub Copilot to accelerate Java application development, code refactoring, and unit test generation.

Ability to leverage GitHub Copilot for:

Java and Spring Boot code generation

REST API development

JUnit test creation

Code modernization and refactoring

Secure coding recommendations

Experience validating AI-generated code for correctness, performance, security, and adherence to enterprise coding standards.

Demonstrated ability to improve developer productivity through effective prompt engineering and AI-assisted development workflows

Desired Qualifications

Full-stack development experience.

Experience supporting cloud-native or containerized applications.

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Experience with modern observability and site reliability engineering practices
