Senior Mainframe Automation Migration Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Automation Migration Engineer to lead migration and optimization of mainframe automation solutions from CA OPS/MVS to IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS and from CA Automation Point to IBM Systems Automation for Integrated Operations Management (SAIOM).

Key Responsibilities

·        Lead migration projects from CA OPS/MVS to IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS and from CA Automation Point to IBM SAIOM.

·        Configure and implement IBM Systems Automation solutions, including policy-based automation for z/OS environments.

·        Develop and maintain automation rules, REXX execs, and System Automation Policy Database (PDB) configurations.

·        Provide installation, configuration, and troubleshooting support for IBM automation products.

·        Collaborate with operations teams to improve startup, shutdown, recovery, and high-availability automation processes.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

·        Proven experience in mainframe operations and z/OS automation environments.

·        Hands-on migration experience from Non-IBM / ISV automation tools—especially CA OPS/MVS and CA Automation Point—to IBM Systems Automation solutions.

·        Advanced knowledge of IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS.

·        Working knowledge of NetView for z/OS and System Automation Policy Database (PDB).

·        Strong TSO/ISPF, JCL, and REXX programming skills.

·        Demonstrated experience in installation, configuration, documentation, and automation-related troubleshooting.

Preferred / Additional Skills

·        Knowledge of SMP/E for software installation and maintenance.

·        Experience with fully automated system configurations on IBM Z.
