Senior .Net Engineer
Location: Baltimore, Maryland (Hybrid)

Position Overview
We are seeking a .Net Engineer to lead the development, maintenance, and support of mission-critical applications supporting City Government initiatives. The role strongly focuses on the Microsoft .NET/Azure technology stack and requires experience with government SaaS platforms such as Accela and OpenGov.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable .NET applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code; conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and refine application requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and ensure development best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues and defects.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with third-party systems and REST APIs.
  • Support continuous improvement of development processes, standards, and technologies.
Required Technical Skills
  • Strong experience with C#, , HTML, CSS, JavaScript, , and Blazor.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SSMS, SSAS, SSIS, and Reporting Services.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and working with microservices architecture.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of Git and CI/CD.
  • Understanding of SDLC methodologies, processes, and deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design patterns.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI/reporting tools.
  • Proficiency with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.
  • Experience with government SaaS platforms such as Accela and OpenGov is required/preferred based on the source description.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 8 years of recent experience with the Microsoft .NET/Azure development stack.
  • 5 years of application development experience.
  • 2 years of application development leadership experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Local government experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
