Linux System Administrator with Security Clearance

R-00194415 Description Leidos is seeking an experienced Linux Systems Engineer to provide support to a mission critical enterprise identity and access management system. A successful candidate will develop an understanding of the services offered to external organizations, provide lifecycle systems engineering support to development and operations on the program, and use a combination of technical and functional expertise to recommend solutions to satisfy customer requirements.

This position requires the ability to work a Panama shift schedule, including weekends and holidays Responsibilities:  ·         Administer and maintain Linux systems across multiple program environments, supporting both operational and development needs.  ·         Support cloud initiatives that meet evolving customer requirements.  ·         Administer program-owned collaboration applications, including Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and RocketChat.  ·         Manage user accounts and resolve application access issues.  ·         Monitor system performance, respond quickly to anomalies, and independently make configuration changes to maintain 99.9% system availability.  ·         Coordinate with enterprise partners during outages and make failover decisions across availability zones or data centers.  ·         Perform system checkouts and test upgrades and patches in operational environments.  ·         Partner with Enterprise Services to ensure compliance with security requirements.  ·         Document incidents, workarounds, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.  ·         Develop user guides and operational procedures for program tools, including custom Linux scripts and tailored COTS products.  ·         Coordinate communications with end users, Tier 1 and Tier 3 support, management, mission partners, and government leadership.

Basic Qualifications ·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, plus 2–4 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar technical role. ·         Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and willingness to be approved for a CI Poly  ·         Strong Linux background and familiarity with infrastructure management best practices.  ·         Experience with Agile collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and RocketChat.  ·         Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.  ·         Excellent oral and written communication skills.  ·         Proactive self-starter with a positive, collaborative attitude.  ·         Ability to work a Panama shift schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:  ·         Experience with AWS or other cloud service providers and cloud-based architectures.  ·         Familiarity with cross-domain architectures at multiple levels.  ·         Experience with automated testing and monitoring tools.  ·         Experience with Engineering Review Boards and Change Management processes.      If you're looking for comfort, keep scrol ling.
