QA Automation Engineer/Tester-W2 Only-Albany,NY-Onsite

1. Level III- More than seven (7) years of experience working on complex projects with 2 or more years in a leadership role as a Tester

2. 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with strong experience testing Java- based applications, particularly Spring Boot microservices, understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems testing challenges, hands-on experience with API testing tools.

3. One to five years of experience executing SQL queries for data validation (PostgreSQL preferred); test automation frameworks, defect tracking and test management tools, Git version control. Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, and excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications: Meets (Yes/No) If Meets identify Where, When and HOW, as applicable

1. Experience with government or public sector projects, particularly child support or social services systems

2. Experience with performance/load testing tools

3. Familiarity with AWS services (ECS, RDS, SQS, CloudWatch) and testing cloud-deployed applications

4. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build processes

5. Experience with contract testing for microservices

6. Knowledge of BDD frameworks; testing batch processing systems and scheduled jobs

7. Experience with accessibility testing; monitoring and log analysis for defect investigation (CloudWatch, Splunk)

8. Understanding of security testing fundamentals (OWASP)

9. ISTQB or similar QA certification
