Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) Network Architect

Our client, a large systems integrator, is looking to hire a Google Cloud Platform Network Architect for a 3-month remote contract. The consultant should possess deep expertise in enterprise cloud networking and Palo Alto Networks firewalls. In this role, the consultant will design, secure, and scale the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) infrastructure, with a dedicated focus on secure hybrid connectivity, traffic routing, and perimeter defense. The Architect will lead the deployment of cloud-native networking solutions integrated with high-availability firewalls to protect enterprise workloads.
Required Skills:

• Ability to design and implement secure Google Cloud Platform network architectures using VPC topology, Shared VPCs, Cloud Interconnect, VPNs, and Cloud NAT.
• Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform-native routing, Cloud Router (BGP), VPC peering, and security groups.
• Experience architecting, deploying, and managing Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls within Google Cloud Platform, including VM-Series firewalls, Panorama management, and Cloud NGFW.
• Configure complex routing topologies, load balancing (L4/L7), and network service chains to securely inspect inbound, outbound, and east-west traffic.
• Experience with IaC and deploying and managing all networking and firewall infrastructure as code using Terraform.

Desired Skills:

• Certifications: Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud Network Engineer and Palo Alto certifications (PCNSE or PCSAE) are highly preferred.
