Drama Teacher Sought for Reputable Secondary School in Kingston

We are delighted to collaborate with a highly-regarded secondary school in Kingston, actively seeking a dynamic and inspiring Drama Teacher to join their thriving Arts department. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique platform to ignite a passion for theatre and performance in young minds.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering a comprehensive and engaging Drama curriculum to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5. The role entails fostering a creative and collaborative learning environment that encourages self-expression, confidence-building, and an appreciation for the performing arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver captivating Drama lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational ethos.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation.
  • Direct and facilitate student productions and performances, nurturing their talent and providing opportunities for showcasing their skills.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.

  • Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in Drama education.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Drama at the secondary level.
