Department:
The Logistics Management Centre (LMC) provides wastewater tankering and treatment services across the Thames region, giving critical support to planned, routine, and resilience operations across the Thames Water network. The Tankering Division provides tanker transport of wastewater around the network to ensure it continues to operate. The Treatment Division supports the cleaning and treatment of wastewater infrastructure.
Purpose of the role:
The PO Coordinator for the Commercial Team plays a vital role in supporting procurement and financial operations. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of purchase orders, supplier invoices, and commercial reporting. The coordinator will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to maintain compliance, drive value, and support strategic commercial objectives.
Location: Guildford
Job Type: permanent, full time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours (starts times to be discussed at interview)
Salary: £28,000-£30,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise purchase orders in line with commercial approval processes.
- Resolve PO, invoice, and payment queries with internal teams and suppliers.
- Support onboarding of new commercial suppliers, liaising with Finance and Procurement.
- Generate reports for the Commercial Leads.
- Identify risks and opportunities to ensure best value and compliance.
- Manage individual workload and contribute to a culture of commercial awareness.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the Commercial Team’s objectives.
Key Requirements
Skills & Experience:
- Strong administrative and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of confidentiality and organisational ability.
- Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
Desirable:
- Experience in commercial or procurement environments.
- Full UK Driver’s Licence
