UK Fund Distribution Manager

ABOUT PERINVEST

Perinvest is a London based investment manager of the Perinvest (Lux) SICAV, a Luxembourg-domiciled SICAV/UCITS with 6 underlying sub-funds in both equities and fixed income.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a founding UK distribution hire. The successful candidate will have genuine autonomy to build a distribution function from the ground up, with direct access to senior management and the portfolio management team. There is no ceiling on what can be built.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Business Development

1. Proactively prospect and engage IFAs, wealth managers and DFMs
2. Build and manage a structured pipeline of intermediary relationships, converting prospects into active fund selectors
3. Execute a disciplined call programme with measurable activity targets (meetings, calls, follow-ups)
4. Represent the fund at adviser events, roadshows and industry conferences
5. Work towards defined AUM and net flow targets on a quarterly and annual basis

Platform Management

1. Develop and maintain existing working relationships with platform contacts
2. Look to increase access to the funds by opening up channels to add the funds to further platforms.
3. Monitor fund visibility, data quality and listing accuracy across platforms
4. Identify opportunities to improve fund positioning, inclusion in model portfolios and platform-level promotional activity

Investment Communication

1. Deliver compelling presentations on the fund’s investment theses, market outlook and competitive positioning
2. Handle technical queries relating to portfolio construction, risk, currency and exposure
3. Liaise with the portfolio management team to ensure all distribution materials remain current and accurate

Marketing & Research Ratings

1. Coordinate production of factsheets, DDQs, presentations etc
2. Source and interpret platform flow data and market intelligence (Adviser Asset, Broadridge) to prioritise distribution activity

Compliance & Regulatory

1. Ensure all intermediary communications comply with FCA financial promotions rules
2. Maintain appropriate records of intermediary interactions in line with Consumer Duty and MiFID II requirements
3. Ensure compliance with companywide regulatory requirements

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Essential Experience

1. Minimum 3 years in UK fund distribution, wholesale sales or intermediary relationship management
2. Demonstrable track record of selling to IFAs and/or DFMs via UK retail platforms
3. Proven ability to build intermediary relationships and grow AUM in a competitive environment

Desirable Experience

1. Strong working knowledge of UCITS structures and associated regulatory documentation
2. Direct familiarity with the UK platform world
3. Existing network of IFAs and DFMs
4. Experience engaging research houses including RSMR, Square Mile or Defaqto
5. Familiarity with platform flow data tools

Personal Attributes

1. Self-starter — comfortable operating with minimal infrastructure and no existing brand presence
2. Credible investment communicator — able to hold genuine dialogue with fund selectors, not merely present slides
3. Resilient and tenacious — motivated by building from scratch rather than managing inbound interest
