Job Description

Position: Lead QA Automation Engineer
Location: Peoria, IL 61629 – Onsite
Industry: Manufacturing

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience in Software Testing and/or Software Development.
  • 10+ years of Software Quality Assurance / Test Engineering experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of QA leadership and/or Agile project delivery experience.
  • 7+ years of experience with software testing methodologies including:
    • SDLC
    • Regression Testing
    • Integration Testing
    • UAT
    • Performance Testing
  • 5+ years of experience with:
    • AWS
    • SQL
    • Azure DevOps (ADO)
    • Power BI
    • Excel
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, QA/QC methodologies and defect management.
  • Strong analytical and data-mining skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead QA strategy, test planning, and automation execution across multiple projects and releases.
  • Lead complex testing, project management, and quality assurance assignments independently.
  • Design and execute regression, integration, performance, UAT, and other testing activities.
  • Perform validation of new and existing software defects.
  • Reproduce defects and collect the required artifacts for analysis and resolution.
  • Manage defect tracking and drive high-impact issues through resolution.
  • Perform root cause analysis and support data-driven quality decisions.
  • Work closely with product owners, developers, end users, and cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate resolution of issues, enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Mentor QA team members and provide technical guidance on testing best practices, standards, and tools.
  • Ensure software quality, accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness.
