Proposal Application Engineer

Comau LLC seeks a Proposal Application Engineer to develop competitive technical and commercial proposals for industrial automation and robotics projects. You will analyze customer RFQs, define system concepts, and collaborate with engineering, sales, and project teams to design optimized manufacturing solutions. Responsibilities include creating layouts, estimating costs and schedules, preparing technical documentation, and presenting solutions to clients. You'll work in a dynamic, global environment, supporting innovative, smart manufacturing projects and contributing to Comau's standards of safety, quality, and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer RFQs and technical requirements for automation and robotics projects.
• Develop system concepts, layouts, and architectures that meet manufacturing performance and quality targets.
• Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals, including scopes of work, assumptions, and deliverables.
• Estimate equipment, engineering, installation, and commissioning costs, as well as project schedules.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management to optimize solution design and pricing.
• Present solutions and proposal content to internal stakeholders and customers as needed.
• Ensure proposals align with Comau standards for safety, quality, and technical excellence.
• Support handover from proposal phase to project execution teams, clarifying scope and technical details.
