Job Description

Developer / Functional Support Luxembourg Full-time

Open to junior or senior candidates.

Job Summary

As Data Analyst & Odoo/ERP Specialist at Ancorius, you combine two complementary roles: making our data trustworthy and our reporting reliable, and helping to configure, support and further develop our Odoo ERP. This is a functional role focused on Odoo, data and reporting - not an IT support or infrastructure position. You are the internal point of contact for Odoo and data topics across the business, working with Odoo and our business applications (including Luxembourg fiduciary applications such as BOB and Camele'on). You work alongside our external Odoo consultants, progressively taking on functional and development work internally and coordinating with them where deeper technical expertise is required.

Mission

Your mission is to build Ancorius's internal capability around Odoo and data: to raise and maintain data quality, deliver dependable operational and financial reporting, support and improve the Odoo platform under proper change control, and progressively reduce the group's dependence on external consultants.

Key Responsibilities

Data & reporting

• Own data quality across Odoo and connected systems (product master data, contacts, contracts, billing data); lead structured data cleanup and validation.

• Build and maintain work-in-progress (WIP), profitability and operational dashboards and reports.

• Support data migration and the onboarding of newly acquired entities into the group's systems.

• Define and document data standards and controls that keep data clean over time.

Odoo / ERP configuration, support & development

• Configure and maintain Odoo (products, workflows, billing logic) under change control, with testing before any change goes to production.

• Provide functional support to users on Odoo and the group's business applications.

• Develop, test and document enhancements; work with external Odoo consultants on specialised development.

• Contribute to reducing complexity and to user-friendly, well-documented processes.

Vendor coordination & user enablement

• Coordinate with external Odoo consultants and software vendors on functional issues, escalation and resolution; monitor progress and keep stakeholders informed.

• Support power-users and contribute to training, documentation and knowledge sharing.

Compliance & governance

• Ensure compliance with confidentiality, GDPR and data-governance requirements.

• Document incidents, resolutions and recurring issues for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and data skills - data analysis, spreadsheets and/or SQL, data modelling, and reporting or BI tools.

• Aptitude for ERP configuration and light development/scripting (e.g. Python), with the willingness to learn Odoo in depth.

• Ability to translate business and finance needs into data models, reports and Odoo configuration.

• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

• High degree of discretion and a clear understanding of data confidentiality obligations.

Mandatory: fluent in English and French.

Advantage: German and Luxembourgish language skills.

We welcome both junior and senior applicants. We place more weight on analytical aptitude, a data and systems mindset, and the ability to learn than on years of experience: deep Odoo experience is an advantage, not a requirement, as specialised technical support remains available from our external Odoo consultants.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Odoo or another ERP platform.

• Familiarity with BOB, Camele'on and other applications commonly used in Luxembourg fiduciary environments.

• Experience in fiduciary, accounting or financial services environments.

• Knowledge of Luxembourg / EU data protection and resilience regulations (GDPR, NIS2, DORA).

• Familiarity with vendor and supplier management processes.

Success Metrics

• Trustworthy Odoo data and dependable WIP / profitability reporting.

• Responsive functional support and high user satisfaction with Odoo and reporting.

• Successful support of the further development and implementation of Odoo.

• Progressive reduction of dependence on external consultants for day-to-day work.

• Smooth data onboarding of acquired entities.

• Compliance with data protection and data-governance requirements.

• Proactive contribution to the continuous improvement of processes and reporting.

Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process includes an initial application review, followed by a phone or video interview with HR. Shortlisted candidates are then invited for an in-person interview with management and the hiring team. A technical or data assessment may be included. Candidates are kept informed at every stage.
