Junior Data Analyst

As a Junior Data Analytics Officer, you will work with colleagues across the bank to transform data into meaningful insights, support well-governed data and contribute to reporting solutions that help teams make informed decisions. From dashboards and analytics to data quality and governance initiatives, you will play an active role in strengthening Advanzia's data-driven culture.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to build practical experience across the full data lifecycle while contributing to the implementation of Advanzia's data strategy and developing valuable skills in analytics, data management and business intelligence.

About the job
- Transform data into business value - Analyse data, identify trends and opportunities, and support data-driven decision-making across the bank
- Support trusted and governed data - Contribute to data quality monitoring, issue investigation, and continuous improvement of the reliability and consistency of business data
- Prepare and manage data assets - Compile, maintain and structure data to ensure it is accurate, well-documented and ready for reporting, analytics and business use
- Build reports, dashboards and data products - Create and maintain reporting solutions and visualisations that provide actionable insights to stakeholders
- Enable self-service analytics - Support business users in accessing, understanding and leveraging data, reports and analytical tools effectively
- Contribute to data governance - Assist in maintaining data definitions, metadata, business glossaries and governance documentation in line with the bank's data governance framework
- Support analytical innovation - Contribute to analytics, automation and AI-driven initiatives that enhance business processes and decision-making
- Promote a data-driven culture - Help improve data literacy and encourage the effective use of data across different business domains
About you
- University degree in economics, statistics, business analytics, engineering or IT
- Data-driven mindset: You enjoy analysing data, building reports and turning information into actionable insights
- First professional experience in data analytics, preferably in a regulated environment
- Tech-savvy & adaptable: You have working knowledge of SQL and/or Python
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Experience with Power BI and/or Databricks is considered an asset
- Curious & analytical: You have strong analytical skills and like solving problems, exploring data and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Quality-oriented: You pay attention to detail and understand the importance of reliable and accurate data
- Ownership and accountability: You demonstrate a proactive approach in taking responsibility for tasks/outcomes, with a focus on seeing projects through to completion
- Cross-functional collaboration: Experience in working collaboratively across different teams and departments
- Fluency in English is essential; other languages is a plus
