Rotating Equipment Engineer

Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you'll have the chance to influence major reliability projects, support refinery operations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of a 24/7 manufacturing facility.<br /><br />Role and Responsibilities<br />As an Experienced Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in different areas across the business, building on your experience and knowledge.

Your primary responsibilities will be for the safe operation and long-term reliability performance of the refinery assets.

This will include providing technical support to refinery operations, capital projects and you will be expected to propose improvements to increase our operational availability as well as specific equipment enhancements.<br /><br />Responsibilities<br />* A strong focus on long term reliability improvements, justifying and recommending reliability improvements projects and equipment enhancements.<br />* Setting the optimal scope for repairs to be carried out during shutdowns ensuring the equipment is able to capture the whole market during the next mission time.<br />* Provide technical support assisting operations with troubleshooting discipline equipment issues and recommending correct action.<br />* Understanding, evaluating and forecasting equipment degradation mechanisms to decide future repair scopes<br />* Undertaking small engineering projects (up to E250,000) and specifying and purchasing replacement equipment (up to E750,000)<br />* Gain an appreciation of non-discipline specific equipment as well as understanding the roles other department carry out on a complex 24/7 operating refinery<br /><br />What are we looking for?<br />* A pro-active self-starter<br />* Strong interpersonal skills<br />* Someone who is highly motivated with a drive and energy to lead and influence change<br />* Good team player who is able to work with and influence others<br />* Confidence to work on your own initiative<br />* Someone who has the ability to prioritise effectively<br />* Ability to apply your technical knowledge to analyse problems and create innovative solutions<br /><br />Skills and Experience<br />* Experienced working within a Rotating Engineer role<br />* Relevant experience working within a refinery or similar environment<br />* Master's degree in mechanical engineering or Equivalent <br />* Chartered status or working towards Chartered status <br />* Good engineering/technical knowledge <br />* Competent IT knowledge <br />* Strong communications skills<br />* Safety awareness<br /><br />THE BENEFITS:<br />* 25 days holiday plus BH with holidays added for continuous service years<br />* Share incentive plan<br />* Discretionary bonus scheme<br />* Private medical<br />* Flexible benefits programme<br />* On site canteen with daily food allowance<br /><br />ABOUT THE COMPANY:<br />Our client operates one of the UK's largest refining and processing facilities, supplying fuel and specialist petroleum products to domestic and international markets.
