Job Description

Audio Producer
New York, US

Applications close on Sunday 11th

Hello! We are AMA. We deliver customised, data-driven, dynamic ads for the most recognisable brands on the world's largest audio platforms. Founded in 2015, we have delivered over 10 billion dynamic creative impressions and 2,000+ campaigns for 300+ brands in the US, Europe, and Australia, with teams based in London and New York. AMA Studio publishes millions of perfectly tailored ads in minutes and matches a listener’s interests and environment.

We’re based in New York and London, and while our team is steadily growing, it’s the reach and impact of our work that’s expanding fast. As we continue to scale, our vibrant culture remains at the heart of AMA. We’re proud to have been named Campaign UK’s #1 Best Place to Work in 2025, following our rise from third place the year before, and to have been recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026 in the Small Organisations category.

About the role

We are hiring an Audio Producer to join our US creative team in New York. You will help produce adaptive audio campaigns for some of the world’s most recognisable brands, turning an approved campaign idea into audio that feels more relevant and persuasive to different listeners.

This is a hands-on role for someone who has developed the foundations of audio production and is ready to take greater ownership of their work. You will support campaigns from approved strategy through to live audio, including developing scripts, casting voice talent, running recording sessions, editing audio and building campaigns within AMA Studio.

The creative challenge at AMA is focused and specific. Our clients usually come to us with their campaign idea, brand platform and key messages already established. Our job is to identify how that idea can work more effectively across different listener situations. This requires strong creative judgement, attention to detail and the discipline to use variation only where it makes the ad more persuasive.

You will manage the day-to-day production of your campaigns, working closely with the Head of Creative and the wider Strategy, Campaign Management, Sales and Product teams. You will also work directly with clients and agencies, building your confidence in explaining our recommendations, responding to feedback and guiding work through approval.

This role would suit someone with a couple of years’ experience in audio production who already has strong practical foundations, but still wants to learn. You will have the opportunity to develop your writing, production, client and adaptive creative skills while working on complex campaigns for major brands.

What you’ll do

  • Manage production timelines across multiple campaigns, keeping work on schedule and raising risks or blockers early.

  • Help translate an approved campaign strategy into one clear adaptive use case and a practical production approach.

  • Write and develop short-form audio scripts that work across different listener situations while protecting the client’s brand voice and core campaign idea.

  • Build modular scripts and copy systems that can scale accurately across locations, offers, audiences and other relevant data.

  • Work within word counts, mandated lines, legal requirements and other production constraints.

  • Cast voice talent, schedule recording sessions and support or lead talent direction as your experience develops.

  • Source appropriate music and sound effects and edit audio using professional production software.

  • Build, edit and quality-check campaigns within AMA Studio, ensuring every version is accurate, on spec and ready for delivery.

  • Review your own work thoroughly before it is shared internally or with a client, applying AMA’s creative and production standards.

  • Support creative kickoffs and script approval rounds, responding to client and agency feedback clearly and constructively.

  • Explain the reasoning behind our creative recommendations and help clients understand how adaptive audio can improve their campaigns.

  • Keep internal teams informed about production progress, changes, approvals and delivery timelines.

  • Use AI-assisted tools to support drafting and versioning at scale, while applying human judgement to every final script and asset.

  • Contribute to the templates, processes and quality standards that help the creative team work consistently and efficiently.

  • Continue building your knowledge of audio advertising, adaptive creative, data and production best practice.

Who you are

  • Around two years’ experience in audio production, gained within a production company, creative agency, publisher, brand, audio platform or freelance environment.

  • A solid grounding in audio production, with the ability to take work from script through to a finished asset.

  • Confident using audio editing software such as Adobe Audition, Pro Tools or a similar digital audio workstation.

  • Able to write clear, concise copy for the ear and adapt your writing to different brands, audiences and situations.

  • Familiar with the fundamentals of voice casting, recording sessions, editing and audio delivery.

  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage several campaigns, deadlines and approval processes at the same time.

  • Detail-oriented and committed to checking the accuracy and quality of your own work.

  • Receptive to feedback and able to revise work quickly without losing sight of the brief or production deadline.

  • A clear and organised communicator who can coordinate internal teams, clients and external partners while keeping multiple conversations around one project moving smoothly.

  • Curious about how data, context and listener behaviour can make an audio message more relevant.

  • Comfortable using AI-assisted tools, or interested in learning how to use them effectively within the creative process.

  • Collaborative, accountable and keen to learn from an experienced creative leader while taking increasing ownership of your work.
