Python AI/ML GenAI Engineer

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Python AI/ML, GenAI Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality software systems. This role requires strong expertise in Python, system design, AI/ML, Generative AI, and modern backend technologies.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of complex features, contribute to technical architecture and design decisions, mentor other engineers, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing solutions.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
•    Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based applications and services.
•    Model Productionization: Convert machine learning prototypes created by data scientists into production-ready software systems.
•    GenAI & LLM Integration: Design, test, and implement features leveraging LLMs, including prompt engineering and agentic workflows.
•    Vector Databases: Build semantic search capabilities and manage vector databases such as Pinecone, Milvus, and FAISS for RAG systems.
•    Lead technical design and architecture discussions for complex systems.
•    Write clean, efficient, maintainable code following engineering best practices.
•    Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
•    Collaborate with Product, DevOps, QA, and Architecture teams.
•    Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
•    Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
•    Build and enhance automated testing frameworks.
•    Support CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows.
•    Ensure compliance with security, data, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
•    8+ years of professional software development experience.
•    Strong proficiency in Python and object-oriented programming.
•    Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-Learn.
•    Experience with Generative AI technologies and frameworks such as Hugging Face, LangChain, or LangGraph.
•    Strong command of data manipulation libraries including Pandas, NumPy, and Apache Spark.
•    Experience with at least one Python web framework: Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
•    Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
•    Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle and strong SQL skills.
•    Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Redis.
•    Solid understanding of asynchronous processing and multithreading/multiprocessing.
•    Experience with Git and modern version control workflows.

Preferred Qualifications
•    Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
•    Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
•    Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, or distributed systems.
•    Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.
•    Experience building microservices and event-driven architectures.
•    Exposure to data science, machine learning, or AI platforms.

•    Strong experience with testing frameworks such as pytest, unittest, or nose.
•    Familiarity with test automation, integration testing, and performance testing.
