AI Business Partner - Activation

Role Overview

The AI Business Partner translates business priorities into practical AI solutions that improve how work gets done. Sitting at the intersection of business strategy, domain expertise, and applied AI, this role identifies high-value opportunities, builds working prototypes and pilots, and partners cross-functionally to scale successful solutions.

This Partner will be aligned to Activation, a portfolio that spans media, social, content, creator/influencer/Starpower, and omnichannel. The work will vary across these areas and will be conducted in partnership with the designated business and discipline leads. Discipline leaders own business strategy, workflow priorities, functional requirements, stakeholder alignment and adoption within their respective capabilities. The Activation AI Business Partner brings applied AI and technical expertise to assess feasibility, prototype solutions, support operationalization and scale validated capabilities across Activation. The right person is comfortable moving between distinct disciplines with different maturity levels, tooling and ways of working, and can sequence where to focus first.

This role is ideal for someone who can move fluidly from ambiguity to action — working with stakeholders to define problems, rapidly testing ideas using modern generative AI tools, and helping the organization adopt AI in ways that are useful, responsible, and aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

AI Opportunity Identification & Prioritization

  • Partner with business and discipline leaders to identify high-value opportunities to apply generative AI across workflows, deliverables, and business processes.
  • Translate business priorities, functional requirements and user needs defined with discipline leaders into clearly scoped AI use cases, pilots, and solution concepts.
  • Assess opportunities based on business value, technical feasibility, user needs, adoption potential, scalability and risk.
  • Partner with discipline leaders  to prioritize opportunities within individual capabilities and help sequence initiatives  across the broader Activation portfolio.
  • Maintain visibility across the Activation AI opportunity pipeline to identify shared needs, reusable components, dependencies and opportunities for cross-discipline scale

Prototyping & Solution Development

  • Build and iterate on working prototypes, pilots, and lightweight AI-enabled tools in response to business priorities and functional requirements established with business and discipline leads using modern development environments, LLM APIs, agentic workflows, and related technologies.
  • Design prompts, workflows, and tool interactions that guide AI behavior toward accurate, useful, and contextually relevant outcomes.
  • Test solutions quickly with representative users and discipline subject matter experts, incorporate user feedback, and refine prototypes based on real-world usage and evolving requirements.
  • Move ideas from concept to demonstrable value, balancing speed, practicality, technical feasibility, quality and responsible AI requirements.
  • Provide technical consultation during discovery to help discipline leaders distinguish between workflow, process, data, platform and AI-related needs

Cross-Functional Delivery & Scaling

  • Own the technical progression of validated concepts from discovery through prototype, pilot, handoff and scaling, in partnership with the appropriate teams (i.e., platform, data, security, governance teams, etc.)
  • Partner closely with AI technical teams, engineering, product, and business stakeholders to transition validated prototypes into scalable, production-ready solutions where appropriate.
  • Define technical requirements, solution dependencies, integration considerations and implementation paths in partnership with technical specialists.
  • Identify when an opportunity should be addressed through an existing enterprise capability, workflow redesign, vendor solution, configurable agent, lightweight prototype, or production-grade build.
  • Work with business and discipline leads to align on priorities, solution design, success metrics, rollout approach and post-launch ownership.

Adoption, Enablement & Change Management

  • Partner with discipline leaders to support successful adoption of AI solutions through solution-specific guidance, training, onboarding materials, and usage playbooks.
  • Communicate AI concepts, capabilities, and limitations in clear, accessible language for non-technical audiences.
  • Equip discipline leaders and subject matter experts with reusable materials they can adapt for role-specific training, change management, and workflow adoption.
  • Capture adoption feedback, usage barriers, and technical issues and translate them into product or solution improvements.
  • Help build AI fluency across the organization by enabling teams to use tools responsibly and effectively in their day-to-day work.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and practical innovation.

Governance, Quality & Responsible AI

  • Help ensure AI solutions are designed and applied in ways that are responsible, compliant, and appropriate for a regulated healthcare communications environment.
  • Incorporate considerations related to privacy, safety, quality, transparency, and human oversight into solution design and rollout.
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to align AI use with organizational standards, governance expectations, and evolving best practices.
  • Promote thoughtful experimentation while maintaining appropriate safeguards and quality controls.

Domain Expertise Application

  • Apply working knowledge strong understanding of healthcare communications, including advertising, activation, communications, and medical domains, to shape relevant and impactful AI solutions.
  • Apply working knowledge of and demonstrate fluency in paid media, social, and influencer marketing — including the platforms, buying and measurement mechanics, and campaign workflows that drive day-to-day execution.
  • Partner with designated discipline leaders and subject matter experts for deep functional expertise, strategic judgement, workflow validation and quality assessment.
  • Understand how agency Activation teams operate, including campaign cycles, reporting cadences, client and platform dependencies, and where handoffs create friction.
  • Ensure solutions reflect real-world workflows, stakeholder needs, and the nuances of regulated client environments.
  • Translate domain knowledge into practical requirements that improve usability, relevance, and business fit.

Qualifications

  • Experience in AI innovation, product, or a related area.
  • Demonstrated experience in media, social, influencer, or adtech — agency-side, platform-side, or in an ad tech product/analytics role. This background is a priority for this position; the technical dynamics of media are difficult to learn quickly on the job.
  • Hands-on experience building, testing, and iterating on generative AI workflows, prototypes, copilots, agents, or similar solutions.
  • Proficiency with LLM APIs, prompting strategies, AI-assisted development environments, and modern tools used to prototype AI-enabled workflows.
  • Strong ability to translate ambiguous business needs into practical, testable AI use cases and solution concepts.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and execution skills in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to evaluate solutions through the lens of usefulness, risk, quality, and business impact.

  • Paid Media; Social Media; Influencer Marketing; Campaign Operations; Media Measurement & Analytics
  • Agentic Workflows; AI - Artificial Intelligence; Large Language Models (LLMs); Machine Learning
  • Coding; Programming Languages; Software Engineering
  • Product Demonstration; Technical Troubleshooting
  • Implementation Management; Solution Delivery; Solution Design
  • Client Relationship Management; Problem Analysis; Workflow Analysis
