Job Description

HCA Healthcare seeks a Senior Data Usability Analyst to enhance how clinical and operational data is designed, accessed, and used across our Healthcare & Medical Services network. In the Data Science & AI team, you will translate complex datasets into intuitive models, dashboards, and data products that empower clinicians and leaders to make timely, patient-centered decisions. You will partner with stakeholders to define data standards, ensure quality and interoperability, and optimize workflows. Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize data models, views, and semantic layers to improve usability for clinical and business users.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, operations, and IT to capture requirements and translate them into intuitive data products and dashboards.
  • Define and maintain data usability standards, documentation, and data dictionaries across platforms.
  • Assess and improve data quality, interoperability, and governance for key healthcare datasets.
  • Lead user testing, training, and adoption efforts to maximize value from analytics tools and reports.
  • Partner with Data Science & AI teams to operationalize models into usable workflows and decision-support tools.
  • Monitor usage metrics and iterate on solutions to enhance performance and user experience.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and regulatory requirements in handling PHI and healthcare data.
