Descriptions:

• As a Senior Snowflake Platform Engineer, you will design, secure, automate, operate, and optimize enterprise Snowflake environments across Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• You will partner with Data Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Information Security & Risk, and FinOps teams to deliver a secure, resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient Snowflake platform for enterprise analytics and data workloads.

Core Responsibilities

1. Snowflake Platform Engineering: Design, configure, operate, and govern Snowflake environments across Google Cloud Platform and AWS, including accounts, databases, schemas, virtual warehouses, resource monitors, and cloud storage integrations.
2. Security & Compliance: Implement RBAC, SSO, service authentication, encryption, masking policies, secrets management, audit controls, and private network connectivity in partnership with Information Security & Risk.
3. Infrastructure as Code & CI/CD: Automate Snowflake provisioning and lifecycle management using Terraform, Git, and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Google Cloud Platform Cloud Build, Harness, or equivalent tooling.
4. Performance & FinOps: Monitor and optimize query performance, warehouse sizing and scaling, resource utilization, clustering where appropriate, credit consumption, and storage costs.
5. Reliability & Operations: Implement monitoring, alerting, operational runbooks, incident management, capacity management, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery practices for production Snowflake environments.
6. Platform Standards & Enablement: Develop reusable Terraform modules, automation, security guardrails, deployment standards, documentation, and self-service capabilities for data engineering and analytics teams.
