Position: Microbiologist Wastewater / Molecular Testing
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46202

Job Description: Seeking a microbiologist to coordinate and perform molecular testing on wastewater samples, including SARS-CoV-2 and other public health targets. Key duties include sample processing, RNA/DNA extraction, PCR testing, data interpretation, and comprehensive quality control. Strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and accurate reporting. This role involves collaboration with teams to evaluate new products and ensure reliable lab operations.
Five Most Important Technical Skills:
- Wastewater sample concentration, RNA extraction, and qPCR/molecular testing
- RNA/DNA extraction and PCR workflow proficiency
- Laboratory data management and result interpretation/validation
- Quality control, method validation, and safety compliance
- Proficiency with molecular equipment and standard lab instruments
