Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior AI Desktop Engineer to design, develop, and deliver cross-platform desktop applications for Windows and macOS. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in React, Electron, Node.js, Python, and Generative AI technologies, with a focus on building secure, scalable, and user-friendly enterprise applications.

The candidate will integrate AI capabilities into desktop applications to automate business workflows, improve productivity, and deliver seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform desktop applications using Electron and React for Windows and macOS.

• Build responsive, intuitive, and user-friendly interfaces for enterprise users.

• Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js, Express.js, and Python.

• Integrate AI capabilities, including LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and workflow orchestration.

• Integrate desktop applications with REST APIs, GraphQL services, and enterprise systems.

• Automate manual business processes and develop efficient desktop-based workflows.

• Implement desktop features such as notifications, file system integration, clipboard access, deep links, background tasks, and local data caching.

• Implement enterprise authentication and security using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and Single Sign-On (SSO).

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, application monitoring, and desktop release processes.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, documentation, and engineering best practices.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience; 10+ years preferred.

• Strong hands-on experience with Electron or comparable cross-platform desktop frameworks.

• Experience building and deploying desktop applications on both Windows and macOS.

• Strong frontend development experience with React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

• Backend development experience with Node.js, Express.js, and/or Python.

• Experience integrating Generative AI technologies, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and orchestration frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, microservices, and enterprise integrations.

• Experience with authentication, authorization, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and enterprise SSO.

• Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, application performance monitoring, and release management.

• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric, vector databases, or agentic AI frameworks.

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Knowledge of desktop application signing, notarization, auto-updates, and enterprise deployment tools such as Intune or Jamf.

• Experience with enterprise applications, workflow automation, and business productivity tools.

• Familiarity with accessibility standards, usability testing, and application performance optimization.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
