What you'll be doingWe are seeking a talented Senior Network Engineer who excels in a dynamic environment and provides outstanding customer support. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure, scalable, and high-performing network environments using Cisco, HPE Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks technologies and other network vendors. You will ensure network infrastructure is reliable, secure, and aligned with customer and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and review enterprise network solutions including campus, branch, wireless, security and data centre environments.
- Produce high-level and low-level network designs aligned with customer and business requirements.
Lead the deployment, migration and configuration of complex network infrastructure solutions across Aruba, Cisco and Fortinet platforms.
Testing & ValidationDevelop and execute test plans to validate network designs, configurations and performance requirements prior to production deployment.
Documentation- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including:
- High-Level Designs (HLDs)
- Low-Level Designs (LLDs)
- Network diagrams
- Operational runbooks
- Provide Level 3 escalation support for complex network incidents, major incidents and problem management activities.
- Act as a technical SME for network-related issues and ensure minimal service disruption.
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
- Contribute to standards development, best practice recommendations and service improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with project managers, solution architects, security teams and customers to deliver successful outcomes aligned with business objectives.
- 10+ years of experience in network engineering including Level 3 engineering and project delivery responsibilities within complex enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Cisco ISE
- Cisco Switching, Routing, and Wireless LAN
- HPE Aruba Switching and Wireless
- Aruba ClearPass
- Fortinet Firewalls, and FortiEMS
- Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama
- Strong experience deploying, configuring and troubleshooting wired and wireless LAN/WAN networking technologies in medium and large enterprise environments.
- Advanced knowledge of network design principles, architecture, high availability, redundancy, routing protocols, switching technologies and wireless networking standards.
- Strong understanding of network security best practices including:
- Segmentation and Zero Trust principles
- Firewall technologies
- VPN solutions
- Network Access Control (NAC)
- Security monitoring and compliance requirements
- Well-developed understanding of ITIL-based service management principles, ICT service strategies and operational lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical workstreams within project teams and providing technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
- Experience working within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment is highly regarded.
