Job Description

RolePurpose

TheData Governance Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, andoperationalizing enterprise-wide Data Governance frameworks, policies,processes, and governance operating models. The role will work closely withbusiness stakeholders, data owners, data stewards, architects, and technologyteams to establish trusted, secure, compliant, and high-quality data managementpractices leveraging Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC).

Theconsultant will drive governance initiatives across metadata management,business glossary, data lineage, data quality, data classification,stewardship, and regulatory compliance while enabling business value throughimproved data transparency and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

DataGovernance Strategy & Framework

• Design and implement enterpriseData Governance frameworks, standards, policies, and procedures.
  
• Define governance operatingmodels, decision rights, governance forums, and escalation paths.
  
• Establish governance rolesincluding Data Owners, Data Stewards, Custodians, and Governance Councils.
  
• Develop governance roadmapsaligned with organizational data strategy and compliance requirements
  

InformaticaCDGC Implementation

• Lead implementation and configurationof Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog.
  
• Configure business glossaries,metadata repositories, classifications, and governance workflows.
  
• Implement automated metadataharvesting and lineage capabilities.
  
• Enable integration with enterprisedata platforms including Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks,and SQL-based systems
  
• Metadata & BusinessGlossary Management
  
• Develop business glossaries andtaxonomy models
  
• Define ownership, stewardship,and approval workflows.
  
• Improve data discoverabilityand business understanding of critical data assets.
  

DataQuality & Stewardship

• Define critical data elementsand quality rules.
  
• Collaborate with business teamsto establish data quality KPIs and monitoring processes.
  
• Support issue remediation andgovernance workflows.
  
• Capture and document end-to-enddata lineage.
  
• Implement governance processesfor data classification and sensitive data management.
  
• Support compliancerequirements, audit requests, and regulatory reporting initiatives.
  
• Ensure adherence to privacy,security, and governance standards
  

StakeholderManagement & Consulting

• Conduct governance workshopsand stakeholder interviews.
  
• Gather and document governancerequirements.
  
• Facilitate governance councilsand working groups.
  
• Present governance metrics,recommendations, and progress updates to leadership teams.
