Epicor Developer

Job Role : Epicor ERP Functional & Technical Support

Location : Remote

Role Type: Contract

Client   : Artizent

•             Provide L2/L3 functional and technical support for Epicor ERP environments.

•             Troubleshoot day-to-day ERP issues and identify root causes.

•             Configure and optimize Epicor modules supporting Finance, Manufacturing, Distribution, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Engineering, Scheduling, MRP, and Order Management.

•             Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement.

•             Support post-implementation stabilization and ongoing ERP enhancements.

•             Collaborate with IT and business teams to resolve application, integration, performance, and data issues.

Epicor Implementation & Upgrade

•             Participate in new Epicor implementations, upgrades, migrations, and rollouts.

•             Analyze, design, configure, develop, test, and deploy Epicor solutions.

•             Support upgrades across Epicor versions, including Epicor 9, 10.x and Kinetic/11.

•             Support system conversions and legacy ERP modernization initiatives.

•             Develop technical specifications and implementation documentation.

•             Provide user training and knowledge transfer.

The profile demonstrates experience with more than 45 Epicor installations/upgrades and work across multiple Epicor generations.

Epicor Customization & Development

•             Develop and maintain Epicor customizations.

•             Perform screen and form customizations.

•             Develop and maintain:

o             BPMs

o             BAQs

o             BAM

o             Dashboards

o             Business processes

o             Global alerts

o             Shop warnings

•             Develop integrations using REST APIs, Service Connect, SSIS and other integration technologies.

•             Work with C#, VB.NET and .NET technologies.

•             Support Product Configurator and other Epicor technical components.

Reporting & Analytics

•             Develop and maintain Crystal Reports and SSRS reports.

•             Create complex queries, calculated fields, cross-tab reports and subreports.

•             Develop dashboards and KPI/business-metric reporting.

•             Convert existing reporting solutions between Crystal and SSRS where required.

•             Support business users with reporting and data-analysis requirements.

Database & Performance

•             Support Microsoft SQL Server and Progress databases.

•             Perform SQL administration, indexing and performance tuning.

•             Troubleshoot database and application performance issues.

•             Analyze system bottlenecks and recommend improvements.

•             Support high availability, disaster recovery and system continuity initiatives.

The source profile specifically includes SQL administration, indexing, performance tuning, log shipping, Progress databases and system-performance troubleshooting.

Manufacturing & Supply Chain

•             Work with manufacturing organizations to optimize ERP-supported business processes.

•             Lead or participate in Epicor implementation and enhancement projects.

•             Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources and deliverables.

•             Work with business and IT stakeholders across all organizational levels.

•             Apply structured SDLC and project-management methodologies.

•             Manage vendor relationships and coordinate technical and functional teams.

Required Qualifications

•             Extensive hands-on experience with Epicor ERP / Epicor Kinetic.

•             Strong combination of functional and technical Epicor expertise.

•             Experience supporting manufacturing or service-oriented organizations.

•             Strong experience with Epicor configuration, customization, implementation and production support.

•             Experience with Epicor BAQ, BPM, BAM, Dashboards and Business Processes.

•             Strong SQL/database experience.

•             Experience with Crystal Reports and/or SSRS.

•             Experience with .NET, C#, VB.NET or related development technologies.

•             Experience with Epicor integrations and APIs.

•             Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•             Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

•             Epicor Consulting certification.

•             PMP certification.

•             Experience with Epicor Kinetic/11.

•             Experience with Epicor Vantage, Epicor Enterprise, Prophet 21 or Avante.

•             Experience with MES, Service Connect, Product Configurator, SSIS and REST APIs.

•             Manufacturing process knowledge.

•             Experience leading ERP upgrades and implementations.

•             Experience with SOX/Sarbanes-Oxley environments.

Experience Level

Senior / Lead Consultant

The ideal candidate should be capable of operating independently as a senior technical-functional SME and working directly with client business and IT leadership.

The role may also collaborate with Artizent’s Astra Data, Astra Engineering and Astra AI/Agentic teams to identify opportunities to modernize ERP operations and automate repetitive support and business processes.
