Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Consultant that has effective communication and analytical skills enabling problem solving. In this role, you will have hands-on experience consulting for pharmaceutical manufacturers in the areas of commercial contracting and discounting, commercial and Medicaid rebate processing, government pricing and/or gross-to-net.
You will be expected to consult on projects assisting clients with:
- Contracting strategy
- Contracting and pricing operations
- Contract assessment and development
- Gross-to-net process and methodology
- Gross-to-net automation
- Market Access analytics
As part of the onboarding period for this role, the Associate will go through a training process to get to up to speed on the functional, business, and technical areas required. During that period of time, the person may go through both formal training and hands-on project-based training.
Responsibilities
- Assist on projects, collaborating with other resources effectively to achieve project deliverables and goals
- Assist with preparing for client-facing meetings and documenting requirements, situational analyses, and solution definition documents
- Assist with gathering facts and analyzing situations in a thorough, accurate and organized manner using agreed upon tools and methodologies
- Assist in resolving issues and developing solutions and approaches to meet clients’ needs
- Assist in design and development of quantitative analyses using MS Access, Excel, and other toolsets
- Seek to understand technical knowledge through on-the-job and formal training
- Demonstrate strong communication skills through client-facing project roles
- Take ownership of quality, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
Requirements
- 5+ years of consulting experience.
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in the areas described above.
- Excel modeling experience.
- Familiarity and experience with pharmaceutical financial and contract/pricing data
- Good communication skills and proficiency with MS Word and PowerPoint
- Good knowledge and skill with MS Excel modeling
- Problem-solving aptitude with a willingness for hands-on application of technology
- Highly organized with the ability to participate on multiple projects across multiple clients
- BSc/BA or similar 4-year college degree
- Hands-on experience with data and the development of data-driven quantitative models or data management routines is a plus
- Familiarity with MS Access development is a plus
- Familiarity with analytics technologies and tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) is a plus
- Familiarity with commercial contracting, pricing and/or gross-to-net management in the Life Sciences manufacturing industry is a plus
