The Role:

  • Deliver inspiring and engaging Geography lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Plan and implement a challenging and differentiated curriculum, in line with the national curriculum and school's vision.
  • Assess student progress effectively, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Contribute to the department's continuous improvement, participating in curriculum development and sharing best practices.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, where all students feel valued and challenged to reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across different subject areas to promote cross-curricular learning and enrichment opportunities.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and activities, contributing to the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A strong academic background in Geography, with a deep understanding of the subject matter.
  • Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary level, with a track record of success.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
  • A passion for Geography and a commitment to inspiring students.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
