🔥 ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Senior CDN Engineer with strong hands-on expertise implementing, configuring, optimizing, and supporting enterprise-scale CDN environments across highly distributed systems.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Akamai and other CDN platforms, automation, networking, security, caching, traffic management, and production support.

🔑 MUST-HAVE SKILLS
7+ years of hands-on CDN engineering experience
Strong experience with Akamai preferred
Experience with 2+ CDN platforms:
Akamai
Imperva
Fastly
AWS CloudFront
Cloudflare
CDN configuration, caching, routing and traffic management
Bot Manager, DNS and security policy configuration
API acceleration and edge delivery optimization
WAF, TLS/mTLS and web security
Strong understanding of:
TCP/IP
DNS
HTTP/HTTPS
Load Balancing
Proxy technologies
Python and/or other scripting languages such as Go, Node.js, or Java
Terraform / IaC / GitOps / CI/CD
REST APIs and Postman
CDN performance analysis, troubleshooting and optimization
Production incident response and RCA
Monitoring, dashboards and alerting
Experience supporting after-hours deployments and on-call activities

👨‍💻 RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, implement, configure and maintain enterprise CDN solutions
Develop and enforce CDN standards, security controls and operational procedures
Optimize caching, routing, traffic management and content delivery
Partner with application, network, cloud and security teams
Provide technical leadership and CDN subject-matter expertise
Analyze traffic patterns, performance metrics, cache effectiveness and security events
Troubleshoot CDN performance and availability issues
Support production incidents, deployments and late-night go-live activities
Build monitoring dashboards, alerts and reporting
Develop automation frameworks using Python, Terraform and GitOps
Create technical documentation, runbooks and reference architectures
Mentor engineers and support teams
Research emerging CDN and edge-computing technologies
Contribute to CDN strategy, modernization and long-term architecture
🎓 EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
