Job Description

Are you a strategic planner who enjoys turning complex data, investment plans and competing priorities into a clear path forward? We are seeking a Planning Analyst - Infrastructure Portfolio to support a major infrastructure portfolio, translating long-term investment plans into practical short-term programs that ensure projects, funding and resources are aligned to future growth and network needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate long-term investment plans into detailed project pipelines and delivery plans
  • Develop and maintain budgets, expenditure forecasts and investment plans
  • Analyse data, trends, dependencies and risks to support investment decisions
  • Develop planning scenarios and identify emerging capacity and delivery risks
  • Work closely with technical, project, finance and delivery teams to align priorities
  • Monitor project readiness, milestones and funding requirements
  • Develop reporting tools and processes to improve forecasting and planning accuracy
  • Provide clear insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
  • Experience developing and managing project pipelines, programs or investment plans
  • Strong financial forecasting, budgeting and analytical capability
  • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills
  • Ability to turn complex information into practical plans and recommendations
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience managing competing priorities, dependencies, resources and timelines
  • A proactive approach to identifying risks, opportunities and improvements
  • Experience within utilities, infrastructure, energy, water, transport, roads, mining or another asset-intensive environment will be highly regarded
