Security & Compliance Support
Introduction:
As a Security & Compliance Support member, you will be responsible for ensuring the organization's adherence to security and compliance frameworks, particularly in public sector environments. Your role will involve working with various security documentation, compliance tracking, and disaster recovery planning to maintain the integrity and security of critical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding and implementing security and compliance frameworks relevant to public sector environments, such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and state IT security standards.
- Managing security documentation, compliance tracking, and workflow using tools like Azure DevOps and GRC platforms.
- Developing and testing Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs) for critical systems, ensuring recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) are met.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure security and compliance measures are effectively implemented and maintained.
- Assisting in the evaluation and improvement of security processes and procedures.
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Cyber Security principles and best practices.
- Experience with NIST 800-53 and other relevant security frameworks.
- Understanding of Information Security concepts and methodologies.
- Ability to effectively manage security documentation and compliance tracking.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in government or military environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in information security, cybersecurity, information systems, public administration, or a related field.
