Shape the strategy. Architect the solution. Lead the delivery. Accenture is seeking an accomplished Solution Architecture to shape, govern and help deliver complex business and technology transformations for leading organisations across Australia and New Zealand.
This Senior role combines business strategy, enterprise architecture, commercial acumen and delivery leadership. You will mobilise multidisciplinary teams to turn ambiguous client needs into practical, secure and scalable solutions, with clear scope, assumptions, delivery models, estimates and measurable outcomes.
AI is central to how we solution and deliver. You will identify where AI, generative AI and automation can create value, embed these capabilities into client solutions and delivery methods, and ensure they are governed through Responsible AI, security, privacy, data and human oversight requirements.
What you will do Lead strategic solutioning and architecture

• Lead enterprise-scale solution architectures spanning business applications, cloud, data, AI, integration, security, digital platforms, infrastructure and managed services.
• Translate client strategy and requirements into an end-to-end solution blueprint, target-state architecture and sequenced transformation roadmap.
• Identify and prioritise AI, generative AI and automation opportunities that improve client outcomes and delivery productivity.
• Evaluate platforms, models and patterns for suitability, scalability, interoperability, performance and total cost of ownership.
• Make architecture decisions that balance business value, user outcomes, cost, risk, resilience, sustainability and operational supportability.

Shape and win strategic opportunities

• Lead diverse solution teams through discovery, qualification, solution development, proposals, client presentations and contract handover.
• Create differentiated, outcome-led solutions that use Accenture assets, ecosystem partners, global delivery capabilities and AI-enabled delivery methods.
• Own the integrity of scope, assumptions, dependencies, risks, service levels, delivery locations, staffing, estimates and cost models.
• Work with account, sales, commercial, legal, security, delivery and technology leaders to build a solution that is compelling, feasible and deliverable.
• Lead solution reviews, resolve actions and secure the approvals required to commit Accenture to the solution.

Build trusted executive relationships

• Clients recognise you as a trusted partner who connects strategy, technology and measurable business outcomes.

• Serve as a strategic advisor to CIOs, CTOs, business executives, and programme sponsors.
• Facilitate executive workshops and architecture vision sessions.
• Influence technology investment decisions and transformation strategies.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.

Lead architecture teams and communities

• Mentor and develop Solution Architects and emerging architecture talent.
• Drive architecture standards, methods, and governance practices.
• Contribute to capability development, recruitment, and community leadership.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Govern and enable delivery

• Remain accountable for architecture integrity from pursuit through mobilisation, implementation and transition to operations.
• Work with delivery teams to turn the solution into an actionable plan, including work packages, architecture runway, decision rights and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, regulatory, resilience, data residency, accessibility and operational requirements.
• For AI solutions, define controls for data quality, model selection, evaluation, explainability, bias, safety, intellectual property, monitoring and human oversight in line with Responsible AI principles.
• Guide integration with enterprise systems, data sources and APIs, and address performance, service management and support considerations.
• Resolve complex technical, commercial and delivery issues while protecting the intended client outcomes and business case.

Required Experience

• Extensive experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, consulting, engineering or technology leadership, typically gained over 12 or more years.
• A record of shaping and leading large, complex transformation programs from opportunity through delivery.
• Proven success in strategic pursuits, proposals, commercial solutioning and executive presentations.
• Experience advising C-suite and senior stakeholders and building alignment across business, technology and delivery groups.
• Strong commercial judgement across business cases, pricing, estimating, workforce models, delivery locations, risk and governance.
• Practical experience applying AI, generative AI, automation or advanced analytics to business solutions or delivery.
• Experience leading, mentoring and developing architecture teams.

Technical and business expertise We are looking for deep expertise across several of the following:

• Enterprise and solution architecture, including target states, roadmaps, architecture decisions and governance.
• Cloud, platform, application and infrastructure modernisation.
• Data architecture, integration patterns, APIs, security and identity.
• AI and generative AI solution patterns, including model and platform selection, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, evaluation, observability and Responsible AI controls.
• Digital products, business architecture and process transformation.
• Managed services, service management and target operating models.
• Technology strategy, investment planning and transformation delivery.

Qualifications Those with Certifications in Architecture, Cloud, Data, AI, Security, Service management or Agile delivery will be highly regarded.
