Job Title: SD-WAN / Network Solution Architect

Contract Length: 4-6 Months with potential for additional extensions, Inside IR35

Location: Fully remote

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SD-WAN / Network Solution Architect to support the design and assurance of a new enterprise connectivity environment. This role requires specialist architecture expertise across SD-WAN, WAN, LAN, and edge connectivity to ensure the future network architecture delivers the required performance, scalability, resilience, and security.

Responsibilities

• Define and assure the architecture for an enterprise SD-WAN solution.
• Develop network and connectivity solution designs.
• Define how SD-WAN integrates with WAN, LAN, and edge environments.
• Consider application traffic flows, bandwidth, throughput, and traffic prioritisation.
• Define appropriate Quality of Service (QoS) requirements.
• Review and challenge designs supplied by network vendors and implementation partners.
• Support technical evaluation and vendor/RFP activities where required.
• Ensure proposed solutions meet wider enterprise architecture and security requirements.
• Work with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application stakeholders.
• Provide architecture assurance through the early stages of implementation.

Essential Skills

• Strong background as a Network / SD-WAN Solution Architect.
• Technical understanding of SD-WAN, WAN, LAN, and enterprise networking.
• Experience designing complex, multi-site enterprise networks.
• Strong understanding of routing, connectivity, bandwidth, application traffic, and QoS.
• Experience integrating network solutions into cloud and enterprise environments.
• Experience reviewing and assuring third-party network designs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience supporting network vendor selection or RFP processes would be advantageous.
• Excellent technical documentation and stakeholder-management skills.
