Datacenter Technician

Need 4 more people to handle 24x7 shifts in Austin IPP3.

This schedule will be different as we will be working a 3x12, 4x12 shift split with hours 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am.

Broken down would be 1 week is 3x12 and next week is 4x12 essentially working 36 hours then 48 hours.

New hires will run 2-4 weeks on a 5x8 Mon-Fri schedule during training.

Perform rack, stack, and cable installation of servers, storage, networking, and GPU systems.

Install rails, mount equipment, label assets, and ensure proper airflow and cable management.

Connect and verify power, fiber, and copper network cabling according to deployment standards.

Assist with hardware moves, adds, and changes (MACs) throughout the data center.

Follow detailed deployment runbooks and engineering documentation.

Conduct basic hardware validation, LED/port checks, and physical troubleshooting.

Maintain accurate asset tracking, labeling, and documentation in internal systems.

Partner with Data Center Engineers and Network teams during deployments and migrations.

Adhere strictly to ESD, safety, and security protocols.

Support decommissioning and removal of end-of-life hardware.

3+ years of hands-on data center experience performing rack and stack activities.

Strong understanding of:

Server and network rack layouts

Structured cabling (fiber and copper)

Power Distribution Units (PDUs)

Experience installing enterprise servers including Dell, HPE, Supermicro, or equivalent platforms.

Ability to read rack elevation diagrams and deployment instructions.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined rack environments.

Familiarity with ESD procedures and the safe handling of sensitive hardware.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.

Experience working in hyperscale or GPU-dense data centers.

Exposure to NVIDIA platforms or high-performance computing environments.

Knowledge of hot/cold aisle containment best practices.

Experience supporting large-scale hardware refreshes or migration projects.

Basic Linux knowledge.
