Senior Associate or Counsel, Trust & Estate Litigation

About the Role

Join a growing trust and estate litigation practice as a senior attorney ready to lead complex matters and help shape the group's next stage of growth. You will guide case strategy, advise clients, and mentor junior attorneys.

What You'll Do

• Lead complex trust, probate, and fiduciary litigation matters from inception through resolution.

• Represent trustees, executors, administrators, and beneficiaries in trust and probate disputes.

• Represent older adults and their families in financial elder abuse litigation.

• Build client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor on key matters.

• Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the practice.

• Supervise, mentor, and provide feedback to associates working on litigation matters.

• Help shape the direction and culture of the practice group.

What We're Looking For

• At least 8 years of dedicated trust and estate litigation experience in California, with active involvement in litigation matters.

• Experience leading strategy in complex trust, probate, or fiduciary disputes, including will and trust contests, fiduciary duty claims, accounting disputes, surcharge actions, or elder abuse matters.

• Active California State Bar membership in good standing and a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

• Experience mentoring or supervising junior attorneys and readiness to help lead and grow a practice group.

• Bay Area trust and estate litigation community connections are valued; an existing book of business is not required.

• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $225,000 to $275,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Hybrid work arrangement, with the primary location in San Mateo, California. Pleasanton and San Jose office options are also available.
